SUBMISSIONS: The 50 States Project

Ballyhoo Stories is accepting story submissions with the states of California, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Washington, West Virginia, or Wisconsin as either the subject or the setting. Stories will be published online as part of our 50 States Project. The reading period ends December 31, 2006. For full guidelines please visit our Web site.

UPDATE: The 50 States Project

We realize that it has been over a month since the last deadline for the 50 States Project has passed. For those of you who have submitted, we ask you to be patient and apologize for the delay. We have been bogged down with work this last month and are a bit behind schedule. We hope to announce the newest states and respond to our contributors before the end of the May. Again, we are sorry for any inconvenience.

We want to remind everyone that the current reading period for the 50 States Project ends March 31. Submit *unpublished* stories of 5,000 words or less with the states California, Delaware, Indiana, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Washington, or Wisconsin as either the subject or the setting. ANNOUNCEMENT: 50 States Posting

Ballyhoo Stories is pleased to announce the publication of our newest 50 States stories. For Ohio we have a story by Sean Beaudoin entitled "Coldwater, Ohio. Sandra Maddux-Creech's story, "Night Crew," is our New Hampshire story. Mary McLaughlin Slectha's "My Good Name," is our Connecticut story. You can read them all at www.ballyhoostories.com.
